Description Noncommercial. Link to finished work if possible. Not restricted to use on deviantART. Single-size vector depiction of a stylized South Korean flag.

Similarities: The four elements are retained (upper-left: Air; upper-right: Water; lower-right: Earth; lower-left: Fire). The duality of the central symbol is retained.

Differences: The trigrams for each element have been shaved into triangles instead of rectangles, but without sacrificing inherent meaning in each symbol. The taijitsu in the center has been stopped in its motion, revealing the symbol Phi in its place.

Tech: Each line, including the negative space between and dividing them, is exactly 9pixels wide. The vector can be shrunk two a quarter of the size and retain recognition.

Air, notes: Air is complete, showing three unbroken lines. It is perfection. The symbol can also mean "force" or "virtue". Its season is Spring, its direction East.

Water, notes: A single, unbroken line divides two broken ones. The simple mnemonic to remember is "a river runs thru it". The symbol can also mean "gorge", "moon", "knowledge" and "wisdom". Its season is Winter, its direction North.

Earth, notes: Three broken lines. Imperfection. Yet, the empty space between the lines reveals a passageway to the heavens. The symbol can also mean "field" or "area", as well as "justice". Its season is Summer, its direction West.

Fire, notes: A broken line divides, partially, two unbroken lines. The symbol can mean "sun", "radiance" and "courtesy". Its season is Fall, its direction South.

Void, notes: The central symbol is void, where the negative and positive forces of the taijitsu (yin-yang) merge and become nothing, becoming infinity. It is paradox. It is motion with moving parts.
