I think the color does add something to this picture, a certain je ne sais quoi. Although, the use of red makes it seem somewhat morbid to me, more dismal than the original black and white. Hah, probably strange, but it reminds me of a zombie movie and something really bad is about to happen. XD So, I like the lighting effect; I think it makes it a bit more intriguing.

I was going more for an autumn look, but I guess if I wanted to I could add more orange and yellow
