Description
I start sketching some iconicΒ poses, work on greyscale with a simple front (below) light, then do some random smokey background, add colors and blur it like lens photo stuff and voilΓ .

when i use color its tone tends to be darker, or brighter(?) than the previous tone. Do you use opacity to compensate or go with the flow?Β

Just play around with Brightness/contrast masks. It's a bit weird at the beginning but at some point it will make sense. For instance, red and blue tend to look darker (almost black) on b&w photos while the skin tone is very little constrasted (unless the character is sweaty) and very bright. hope that helps.

cool, I always like seeing how artists reach their final Β "version". This is super good. I completely forgot about Saiyaman it's a terrible costume, but somehow you make it look cool, hehe.
