Description
Do you remember these two characters ? Maybe not. That's normal,
I only drew them once and it's been two or three years ago now.
Here they are: [link]

I wanted to draw them with my current style because I like them very
much and it reminds me the three years I spent in Passe Muraille,
a circus in which I was a tightrope walker. I first did this old drawing,
The Ladybug and the Leaf, thinking of this circus, but I never gave
names to the characters. So now they fully exist ! ^o^
Melvin is the blond one and Kylian the other one. They are modern
characters, I mean by that they are from our world and live in 2013
too. I'm sure you could see them in the street if you go to USA ! ^-^

So, about the story, *Yuni had very nice ideas about these
two so I decided to write a story with these ideas, and will add
mine too of course, but so I was not the only one creating the
story. It was even *Yuni who first invented a story for them.
Thanks a lot to you for the ideas !! :3 I love them a lot and I'm
happy you allowed me to use your ideas. Ooh, and the overall
artwork is a gift for you ! ^w^

Melvin comes from a wealthy family. He lives in a peaceful and huge
town in the US with his parents who sent him to the best school they
could find. Melvin is in a very famous and great college and take French
classes be cause he loves France a lot since he went there with his
uncle and cousin. He practice contortion at home because he never
found a good circus in which he could train or in which people know
how to do contortion properly. So he only trains at home and asks his
brother to help him from time to time. He also practices dance and kyudo.
He spent two years in Japan when he was younger. His mother loves
Japan so much that they lived there for two years, so Melvin speaks
quite well in Japanese. He also loves music a lot and plays the violin
and the piano. He is eighteen years old and is 176cm tall. He has a
big brother and a little sister.

Kylian also comes from a wealthy family. He did not really wanted to be
in such a great school but his parents sent him in the same college as
Melvin. They didn't know each other before going to the school. Kylian
is not really what we could call the first of the class. He plays the tough
guy and doesn't have very good marks at school. He doesn't like to study
and almost never does his homework. He prefers to play video games
instead. He likes a lot music but doesn't know how to play any instrument.
He is better at Mortal Kombat or things like that. However, he practices
an art that is very dear to him, contortion. He does it only for him and
he loves it so much that his parents have built a special room in the house
where he can train without being bothered. He practices every day and
has a very good level now. Kylian is also eighteen years old and is 174cm
tall. He is an only son.

Melvin and Kylian are in the same class at school but never really paid
attention to each other. Since Kylian seems to be the "bad" guy type,
Melvin never really tried to talk to him. So for about a month, they never
speak to each other. They have the same courses, the same sports classes,
they are in the same class but don't talk. Melvin has his friends and Kylian
his bad companies.

A Monday, the principal of the school came in the class to talk about a new
subject to know if the students would be interested in it. Students have
sports classes, they practice swimming, foot race, high jump, karate, kick
boxing, dance, badminton and many other sports that all schools have in
their program. This new thing the principal came to talk is a circus class.
Students could now have circus courses instead of normal sports classes.
So they could practice tightrope walking, juggling, unicycle, trapeze, or
any other sport that is done in circus. The principal gave a paper to the
teacher and asked the students to put their name on it if they were
interested in these circus courses.

At that news, Melvin and Kylian did not even hesitate, they wrote their
name on the paper and next week they were both in this circus class,
in their colourful leotards, staring at each other, a bit embarrassed.

"Hi !", Melvin said trying not to look too much embarrassed.

"Hi", Kylian replied looking away because of too much shyness.

"Hum... I know we never really talked in class but... why do you wear
such a leotard ?", Melvin was curious to know.

"Eh ? Why ? Well, because I... practice contortion, that's why."

Melvin blushed.

"Are you okay ? Why are you blushing ?"

"You're blushing too."

The teacher arrived.

"Hello everyone ! Today we will talk about the different activities you would
like to do. To inscribe an activity on this paper you have to be at least two
persons. Otherwise I can't open a new activity."

Melvin and Kylian looked at each other and after all the other students talked
about their ideas, the two boys talked about contortion and everybody looked
at them with wide open eyes. The teacher was sceptic so he asked them to
do some poses. Melvin and Kylian looked in the eyes and Melvin said, "maybe
we could do a duo position." So without thinking too much Kylian put his hands
on the floor, he laid his chest and put his feet far in front of his face, on the
ground. "Wow ! That makes me think of the Sphinx position !", exclaimed a
student. Melvin put his feet on Kylian's ones. He looked at him and whispered,
"take my hands." He bent backwards and did a wonderful and impressive backbend.
His head between his legs, he held out his hands and Kylian grabbed them. They
looked in the eyes, smiled and blushed a bit so they were in perfect symbiosis.
Everybody staid dumbfounded so they were impressed by this so wonderful
position. The teacher instantly applauded and the contortion section was opened.

Since that day, Melvin and Kylian are getting closer and closer and get along
very well. They finally met and have a great passion in common that will always link
them together.
