None of them were the equal in sheer speed, and the Beetonnians were rightly proud of them."
Sometimes, young children within Bretonnia are seen to have strange and mystical powers.
Before they reach puberty, almost all children with these strange talents will be visited by the Fay Enchantress and taken to the Otherworld.
The women will often return to Bretonnia years later as holy Damsels, serving the Cult of the Lady of the Lake and using fair magic to aid noble knights while protecting the Lady's people.
They ride horses and wield great authority even when not in battle as they fulfill roles such as advisers to Dukes and Kings, where their magical abilities and visions may aid their lord.
They may come and go throughout the realms as they please, as none would dare to cross one so favoured by the Lady herself.
