Finally! I got around to do a new Oddworld fanart. My fingers were biting me since I got the Wacom thanks to my .
Stranger is climbing up the massive rock formations to have a glimpse to the light before darkness englulfs him.
Basically, I attempted to make another melancholic picture of him because he's just a very mystical creature living in solitude.
8 hours work with short interruptions. The rocks kept me at the desk. Oh, I hate painting rocks. But what is Oddworld without rocks and what is Stranger without his typical background... which is rocks and Arizona-like nature?
Raymond Swanland's works really inspired me to do this. He is one of the most amazing artists I have ever seen.

Oh my GOD I love love love this! And not just because Stranger is my favorite video game char EVER, but because you drew him just so.... amazing! His hair, I loooove his hair! And the anatomy is stunning! Really! Its hard to find really good quality Stranger artwork, if any, but yours is tops.

Ich finde die Farben hiere total toll, und die Pose von Stranger und der Wind, und der Hintergrund passt richtig gut hier.

Of course you're probrably out of practice because you just got your wacom (Monstrously good.) So practice some more and my hand will brake itself in shame XD

I like how bright and blue the sky is. I love clear days like that. I'm in two minds about the white towards the left -- on the one hand it's a bit intense, (but that might be because I'm on a laptop; I don't know how it looks from your end), but on the other hand I think it fits the style of the piece.
I haven't played or seen Stranger's Wrath, so I don't know what the steefs look like except from trailers and adverts. I find the huge torso on top of such a small lower body looks disconcerting, but if that's how OWI designed them I can't fault you for that.
I like how the rocks look partly organic and partly technological. I wonder if they might look better brown instead of grey, as that would fit the brown of the desert and the steef and bring out the contrast with the blue sky, but for all I know there are rocks like that in-game and they're supposed to be grey.
