Yes! Finally! After 3 seasons of watching a team of 4 girls saving the world, now in the ninth season of the franchise, we have our second team of 5 girls saving the world and kicking butts! Hurray!
Cure Happy (Miyuki Hoshizora) an adorable, cute, sweet, optimistic, positive, easy-going, friendly, extrovert, nice, caring, dreamer, charming, naive, kind-hearted, happy but also silly, clumsy, fairytale and fantasy lover and funny girl who loves happy endings and ultimately decides to go find her own happiness but making sure that everyone around her is happy as well. In the beginning of the series, she arrives late at her first day of school (I’m not surprised) because she meets a cute lamb-like fairy named Candy who tells her that she is looking for the legendary warriors Pretty Cures to save Marchenland from Pierrot. After school, Miyuki is witness of the attack of Wolfrun who steals everyone’s negative energy to give it to Pierrot an because she sees Candy is in trouble, Miyuki jumps into action and using a special item that Candy have to her, she transforms into a Pretty Cure and fights against the monster (she was scared at first, but she manages to defeat it) and Candy tells her that she needs to look for her partners to save the world and she manages to befriend the other four girls due to her optimism and enthusiasm. She may be dumb and clumsy, but she always gives her best and never gives up, standing tall for her friends and developing into a cool, brave, sure of herself and determinant heroine in order to achieve happiness to everyone in the world with the help of her friends, Candy and her big brother, Pop.
She has a crush on Peter Pan (seriously, girl? You are very childish) She lives with her mother and she reminds a lot of Usagi because she is as dummy and clumsy as her.
Alright...maybe Miyuki is not one of my favorites pink heroines because of one reason: she isn’t good in anything!! Come on!! Akane is good at cooking Okonomiyaki and playing volleyball, Yayoi is good at drawing and writing manga, Nao is good at playing soccer, sewing and taking care of her younger siblings and Reika is good at studying and at archery and what is Miyuki good at? Only reading fairytales (that’s not really a talent, Miyuki) but I still like despite her clumsiness and sillyness.
