Sooooo...
Yeah, guys, this is my 3rd drawing of Tommy. And something tells me that I won't stop
Ok, ok...I'll have to take a break, because I need to draw two more people till July. But Tommy... Oh, Gosh, I fall in love with him more and more. And I was so upset that I didn't have a chance to see him and the band last Saturday in Moscow. But next time I'll do my best! I promise!
Did you see his new hair style? My reaction was like

And I love him for making me smile everytime and everywhere. I'm so happy I've found out about him

I am curious, how did you learn to use cross-hatching in this manner? Was it with a book or did you learn it all yourself? Also, did you use a mechanical pencil or a normal pencil? By the consistency of the lines, my guess is that it was mechanical.

When I was drawing him, I was using both a mechanical pencil (for shading the darkest part) and a normal pencil (a very hard pencil for the for lighter areas of portrait).
What about a cross-hatching..You know, I have been drawing more then 10 years on the easel and cross-hatching is the only way to shading such a big space. And now if I draw on a small paper size, I already can't change this style of drawing =\
