Hello there ladies and gentlemen, guys and gals, my dear children.

Yes, another amazing year of procrastination and awful excuses is upon you if you continue to follow my artistic endeavors, despite all the aforementioned excuses inconsistent submissions and absolute lack of unified style.

But jokes aside for a moment, I do greatly appreciate all that still enjoy my work and even give it just a passing glance, I give you my most honest thank you from the depths of my cold marble heart.

But to finally address the work in front of you. It is indeed yet another New vs. Old work, this time recreating a less ancient childhood drawing of mine. Look everyone, it is from the current century, and millennium, oh wow, amazing.

To put it in context I am cheating a little bit here. This is not entirely my own original idea, the old drawing was my interpretation of a first episode of cartoon called Time Squad where a ragtag group of “time cops” from the future goes on misadventures across time to fix various discrepancies in the timeline. If you remember it airing on Cartoon Network and you watched it you have my respect. It was nothing spectacular but it was fun and honestly quite educational in its own quirky way. The episode was about an alternative timeline where Eli Whitney invents flesh eating robots instead of the cotton gin.

The robots terrorize the town and try to consume all flesh that they can find. Although of course this being a children’s cartoon they don’t show anyone being torn to pieces and consumed by the robots the idea itself is so deliciously fucked up that I naturally loved it and gravitated towards taking it to a next level.

The little Al at the time did not understand who Eli Whitney was, hell I barely understood what they were talking about with my very basic knowledge of the English language. But still I managed to grasp the essential info. The time period, sometimes in the more less modern part in the USA which of course to my child brain meant the “wild west” and robots who eat people. Whoopty doo and a rough concept was born.

Obviously I never really finished it judging by the headless robot on the side but it did have a lot of passion and planning behind it. And so now, two decades later, I proudly present to you the comparative redraw with a fresh new, shiny coat and a new setting in the fictional town of Marrow Creek which was turned into a ghost town by the army of ravenous robots who stripped clean every living creature they could find.

If anyone would like to use this concept in their own work or turn it into a story please feel free, don’t forget to credit me and link me because I would be absolutely thrilled to see this expanded more. Of course with consideration to the copyright that the original cartoon still probably has on some aspects of this. You are all very smart and talented kids so you can probably figure it out.
