Poor John, did something happen to Mary? I'm sure Sherlock would be as devastated as John if that were the case though since he also loves Mary, but maybe he's just better at hiding it then John. Sherlock looks like he's cradling a baby or small child in his arms, which just emphasizes how helpless and broken John is. I actually thought of an idea where something happens to Mary that causes her to have a miscarriage so John's grieving over the death of his unborn daughter. That would explain why John is grieving but Sherlock isn't. The quote fits Sherlock well because it shows how he doesn't really understand other people's emotions but wants to comfort and help the ones he loves but can't.

The pain I see in this picture hurts me... So amazingly well done. I would stare at this all the time if I had it. You can see the feelings of Sherlocks world being consumed with worry and pain as the person he holds most dear seems to crumble in his arms. Its painfully beautiful.

Aww, that is...so beautiful. It is both heart-warming and heart-breaking for it carries sadness as well as care and love and friendship. And they look so much like themselves that it really helps the feeling. It's gorgeous. I love the wrinkles on their clothes and pillow and sheet too - It's lovely and I'm really glad to still see some Sherlock art from you.
