An idea I've had for some years.
It is very common for fictional characters and teams to have interesting, often fast, vehicles. However, what if they were much more limited and had to drive something a bit better on fuel use?
That is the idea here. Having traveled far for a job, only to be abandoned by them and without pay. For most, a single little efficient car would do just fine. Alas, this is a team of six. Most vehicles that can comfortably transport six people over a long distance just wouldn't work for this situation. Inadequate fuel consumption, uncomfortably cramped, uncommon or just unlikely to find one at a low price. After much searching, I finally settled on the F̶i̶a̶t̶ ̶1̶2̶7̶ ̶F̶i̶o̶r̶i̶n̶o̶ ̶w̶i̶t̶h̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶1̶.̶3̶ Austin Maestro Van with the 2.0 diesel and 5 speed manual. I found it in an article about a camper version. So, I did research and found the optional diesel is a great engine and could achieve 50mpg!! Plus, it could serve a second life by having it modified for lots more power to serve as the high-speed team transport when needed! Also, I think it has a neat look to it.
