Something I never understood.
In warriors, when we are first introduced to the elders, many are named after injuries; halftail, one-eye, etc. It would seem that a name like this is a symbol of honor and respect, but when it happens in front of our eyes, it's bad?

I think the main difference is that such renaming in the elders was more to celebrate the sacrifice they had made in sake of their clan, due to injuries they probably received honorably in battle as warriors. The fact that bluestar renamed brightheart to mock starclan, and to choose such a negative name wasn't meant to honor brightpaws choice to fight the dogs at all. I mean, brightpaw lost her identity to a spiritual feud, and then became a symbol of starclan's supposed abandonment, if anything it's a surprise to me that they didn't write her questioning her faith more. she had good reason to quit starclan.

That's a good point, another is that prior to the arrival of Firepaw into the forest, the clans were a lot less civil and much more vicious, if Daisy tried joining pre-Firestar Thunderclan, she'd be kicked out for being a waste of resources. The very nature of the clans seemed to be changed when Firestar arrived and we can likely agree it was for the better.

This is one of my favorite pictures of Brightheart, it looks so realistic, you can see the scars. I respect her so much too, she is so strong and brave.

I like the coloring and a bit sketchy style.
I also liked her as the character, she stood out from the bunch of generic background characters due to her tragic backstory. Also I liked her with Cloudtail, one of nicer pairings.

And yeah, she has some depth. It was nice to see Cloudtail try to not be a snot around her, and how her success story gave her whole clan hope.
