Hi! I really wanted to draw Hotaru now with all the hype of the new chapters.
I have always believed that Hotaru has a very sad backstory. I mean, althought she reborn in the present, her mother dies when she is a little girl and her father used her to awaken Mistress 9 . And most importantly, her final destiny is to destroy all life in the world. Its sole purpose is waking up to die at the same time. It's too sad!
I wanted to represent just that, her sad fate, imprisoning and staining his hands with blood and death.
Fortunately, Usagi will save her at the final

I really like this drawing!The mix of media is super great! Oh and what's that white pen you use for the lines in her hair? I have some white pen like that but it's like they desapear as soon as I use them on my drawings -_-

The white boli is "Signo Uniball pen white Angelic" ( static2.jetpens.com/images/a/0… ) . I tried several and certainly this is the one I like at the moment. If you have a steady hand and brushwork, gouache or white ink are very good options as well.
The first time I bought one, disappeared on the paper; then I realized that the paper was too porous and they work best on glossy surfaces. What is the technique that you use to color? markers or another? It may also influence.

Hey thank you for your answer! Actually I need white only when i do watercolor, so the paper is totally porous... Do you mean you do watercolor on glossy surface? Or since you mix... You use porous paper with markers? (since you drew the hair with marker right?) I guess i'll have to make several tests before getting the right thing xD

I always use a rather glossy paper because when I use watercolors is for details, backgrounds... I never do a whole drawing with watercolors (the truth is I'm very bad with it ). The more porous paper I use is this brand (www.htconline.in/content/image… ) and the pen works quite well on it.
Albeit, on watercolors, the withe pen always ends mixing a bit with the color below, I guess because both are water-based.
Perhaps it is a matter to experiment with various brands of papers until you find the one that works best for you. Also, as I said before, a good option is to use gouache or white ink, try it if you can
