Overall
Vision
Originality
Technique
Impact
Your sense of realism while maintaining artistic vision is excellent. A lot of artists sacrifice realism for vision or feeling, and others sacrifice feeling for spot on anatomy. Colors are great, texture too, especially the portrayal of fur. The anatomy is near perfect, the only errors are technical, and even so, they don't look bad or glaringly obvious. The stark shadow near the right side (her left) of her neck should be lighter so as to show her shoulder and collarbone, otherwise her coat collar is just suspended there without reason to be. The line where her wrist appears from the cuff of her sleeve is too simple, it doesn't have a sense of depth to it. The shadowing on her face is near perfect, perhaps blend a bit better just below her cheekbone (the starkness of light and dark makes it appear somewhat lumpy when she skin should be smooth there, same thing with the eye on the left/her right eye). Aside, kudos to the different sized pupils. Since one is shaded that one should logically be larger, a thing a lot of folks forget. Her hand looks great, that cigarette is so real that I will be stepping outside myself in a moment, and her jewelry and lips look fantastic. In conclusion, I would say color, texture, and portraying contrast with lights and darks are your greatest strengths in realism. Work a little more on your shading from a logical standpoint (the colors and shapes themselves are fine, just how you place them and the starkness is all), and push anatomy and body parts logically being visible. Oh, and I don't know if you left it out intentionally or forgot, because it looks fine without it, but there's no cigarette smoke. It isn't really necessary though, looks great without it.

reminds me of the chick from fight club. marla i think her name was. not in the way of facial construction though, i would have taken offense if someone said that, haha. I'm thinking more along the lines of attitude.

This is a fantastic first shot. You might be onto something here, provided you can.. y'know. Not get impatient then jump all over it. Next time, maybe her eyes will be the same colour. I'd also say her hair doesn't look as real as the rest of the portrait. But the face- you really got the face.

(I don't have a Premium account to write 'official critiques' but here goes anywhere, the good old fashion post-way):
Her right eye (our left) looks a bit weird. It's like the pupil is dilated, whereas her left eye is not. I can take into account the shadows of her hair, but it's still striking how little of the brown coloring on the retina is visible. It's like my art teacher used to tell me...something can, in fact, look awkward in real life, but it shouldn't always be done in the artwork.
She also doesn't appear to have fingernails. I can see a very faint outline of where the cuticle -might- be but after looking at my own hand in the same position (an awkward position I might add XD) you should be able to see at least a little bit of each nail.
The cuff of the sleeve where her hand is coming out looks a bit too straight...I'm assuming the coat is somewhat fuzzy in nature, but it doesn't look at all fuzzy on the front of the wrist.
Nostrils look a bit small, too, though I'll admit some people have very tiny nostrils and she might be one of them.
Hope that helps. Your color choices are astounding :3

I can't really critique because I have no idea what goes into digital painting, but from what I see here, you're excellent at it. I'd like to see what you can do with mixing realism with your industrial alien theme.
