Description
Here is my first artwork for 2006 !Eris can be seen as an allegory of jealousy, and that is what I wanted to portray here : insecurity, pain, frustration, misunderstanding, mixed feelings...
I have chosen the colour red, which I've hardly never used before, to lay the stress on the violent and destructive aspects of jealousy.
For this artwork, I have combined elements borrowed from the Art Nouveau style and particularly from Mucha, combined with my traditional technique of photomanipulation, as well as some digital painting for the background.

Very beautifull peice! you portrayed jealousy very well. That is the first thing that came to mind before, I saw your statement. I love the dark rich colours. It's a very dark peice! She seems to be trapped in that place, jealousy's taken over her, and she care if she over comes it or not.
