Pretty nice. One complain though is that the ladder seems like it just leads to a screaming death.(the background is showing through it without any obstruction.)

I repeat, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

Yeah, the railing is the big thing here. It's a safety hazard the way you have it illustrated - the railing leans outward past the flat surface of the floor/deck, and so to be right up against the railing you would either have to lean outward or else have your feet on the slippery-looking curved surface - and since there are no low bars, if you slipped you could easily slide right under the rails to a scary but cinematically appealing death. Roll camera in 5...4...3...

That one criticism aside, what exactly is this supposed to be? A deck on top of a building? Or maybe on top of a pillar, Jetsons-style?

I like this image and the overall concept.

In relation to the person in the scene, I feel the railing is too low, too open and the smooth downward curved surface on the other side of the railing makes plummeting to ones death way too easy. All of this is fixed simply. An upwardly curved surface on the outside of the railing would help catch anything or anyone falling over or through the railing.

Overall though I love the design, look and feel. I could live like this.

I agree, I also feel that this scene would be improved with a better human model - otherwise it's thoroughly convincing
great job

Looks like this is a moving platform with a ratcheted braking mechanism on the side - am I looking at that right?

It's visually stunning.

AlexandreGuilbeault In reply to SRSmith [2010-04-23 00:49:29 +0000 UTC]

Yes, it's a series of modular dwelling moving on vertical rails positioned at regular intervals and each have a private terrace on top. This is a tower where we can add module as needed.

Thanks for the comment

I really like this picture, it reminds me of a view I saw once back in Chicago, when I used to live there.

I really miss living there. Brings back memories. The picture has a fresh sort of look to it, it's really nice, in all.
