It's called "The Heaven" by Venom339 who deactivated it's account.

I've found this one with google, now it's not the same definition, so I hope it will be ok for you, or maybe make a more intense research ^^

Is Soft7 for changing windows icons or making the taskbar look like that? I'm looking for a way to change the program icons on the taskbar, but not shortcuts. The icons for windows that are open or minimized.

Google is your friend
It's the control center of Windows.

You can access its option by going into :

Start > Control Panel > System and Security > Action Center > Change User Account Control Settings (on the left) > Set the option to the bottom on "Never Notify"

it doesn't depend on the version, read comments, I've explained many ways to make it work,

you must be missing something.

AlexandrePh In reply to wallybescotty [2009-11-03 15:44:39 +0000 UTC]

First : There is a Soft7 1.7, try IT !

Second : I also have the brand new Windows 7 Ultimate, thanks

Third : If you can make a theme yourself : Go for it !

Fourth : Try to read the description and apply everything correctly, please. My theme works for A LOT of people and it's easy to install, you just have to know to extract a rar file, and then copy/paste a folder and a file, then double-click on a file.....

AlexandrePh In reply to iHolyElement [2009-10-29 17:12:37 +0000 UTC]

I know... If I had Vista I would make it compatible with it but now I can't.
With all the people asking for this maybe one day someone will ask to do it

AlexandrePh In reply to Brittegil [2009-10-15 16:51:06 +0000 UTC]

have you restart your computer ?
Have you patch windows again in order that theme works ?

I totally don't know why it wouldn't works now... try different things and tell me...

Brittegil In reply to AlexandrePh [2009-10-16 06:22:38 +0000 UTC]

AlexandrePh In reply to Brittegil [2009-10-16 06:59:31 +0000 UTC]

well I really don't know, have you tried to install another theme ?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Brittegil In reply to AlexandrePh [2009-10-16 07:52:07 +0000 UTC]

yes, no themes work x)
only the wallpaper that changes

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AlexandrePh In reply to Brittegil [2009-10-16 16:06:29 +0000 UTC]

So, it may comes from the theme patcher you installed... or a bug from your windows......
I can't say more... my theme is supposed to work for everyone now and I've got a lot of positive feedback

Brittegil In reply to AlexandrePh [2009-10-16 19:43:39 +0000 UTC]

Would be amazing if it were for Vista

I guess I'll just wait for my 7 pre-order..

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AlexandrePh In reply to Stamga [2009-10-05 22:15:00 +0000 UTC]

Yes, the good word is amazing ! I never like vista... there were so many bugs in the beta, and it was terribly slow compared to XP... also simple transformation to appearance made in 7 is really better I think (even if it's not enough for me ! ^^)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Stamga In reply to AlexandrePh [2009-10-05 22:49:48 +0000 UTC]

Well I don't personally see much of a big difference between Vista and 7.. other than Performance (even then, I don't see a big difference, maybe cause I have a powerful PC ) and new little gadgets.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AlexandrePh In reply to Stamga [2009-10-06 01:17:16 +0000 UTC]

haha Yes I know for the differences XD. I think the bad memory (is there an english word for "souvenir" ?) that I have makes it awful

Well, when I test vista I was with my old pc, a 633MHz (750Mhz that burn a little after a try of overclocking ), XP works well but Vista was sloooow and I always hadn't enough ram and it crashes all the time (I'm happy to have the beta in order to NOT buy it !).

Now I've got a new PC with a double core, until 7 comes in beta I had XP, so I see the difference between the 2 and I can say that 7 is faster, not a big difference in normal activity but if you transfer something, or when you extract, it's a lot faster. So I think 7 is way faster than Vista.

but you know, the black taskbar, the "blue-green-I-don't-know" (yerk) color of the menu bar... I don't like them a lot. In 7 it's not awesome but it's more neutral, so better

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Stamga In reply to AlexandrePh [2009-10-06 01:47:47 +0000 UTC]

lol I agree about the look, thats why I use visual style

But maybe thats why you didn't like Vista; you were using the beta..?

From the beta to the Full release, there was a performance change, and from the Full release to the SP1, there was another performance update, and the same for SP2..

Might be also the PC you were running it on XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AlexandrePh In reply to Stamga [2009-10-06 03:17:08 +0000 UTC]

Yes I think you're right ^^

but the taste that let me Vista was so bad that I didn't want to try more. Yes the beta, I've wished to have it before everyone else and have the future now... missed

Yes I think Vista is not that bad, even more now, but it's not the time to buy it ^^

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Stamga In reply to AlexandrePh [2009-10-06 11:57:42 +0000 UTC]

lol I agree.. now with 7 out, there is no point into buying Vista

Quartey [2009-10-04 15:52:38 +0000 UTC]

I downloaded and installed this too quick, mistakenly thought 1400x900 was 1440x900(my screen). After installing I noticed a little space near the clock on the taskbar area. Should've looked at the screenshot more carefully. At least I'll be able to use the icons and start button. Time to reshack...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AlexandrePh In reply to Quartey [2009-10-05 22:19:26 +0000 UTC]

I'm sorry for that...
I don't want to make every resolution as there are too many but I'm working to make the theme universal, I just need to find the right files to change...

Fzang [2009-10-03 23:03:46 +0000 UTC]

Wooh, thanks a lot!

...one small request...Do you think you could get the window borders from this theme

[link]

And merge them with the taskbar of soft7. They fit so good together, it would be awesome. It's easy just putting 2 themes together like that, right? I don't know how to do it

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

Insanor In reply to Fzang [2009-10-05 09:18:37 +0000 UTC]

I agree, I think those window borders would look great with this theme.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AlexandrePh In reply to Insanor [2009-10-05 14:58:04 +0000 UTC]

this WAS expected until the beginning and this is going to be !!
it's already done in my computer, but after a day of use I'm not really enthusiast about the result, I don't like the gradient on the top of windows. In explorer it looks like the gradient on the top of the windows from Mac OS X (which is great), but in other application, when the top of the windows has a smaller part of glass, then this looks like the windows from Windows XP

so the gradient as to be more flat and less opaque.

I have to continue working on it, but I hear you and it will be done !

anyway, thanks for the comment

AlexandrePh In reply to Fzang [2009-10-04 02:03:09 +0000 UTC]

well, forget what I've just said, I've done a lot of search on theme for windows 7 and I think I've find everything I wanted !

So, I will not post another version right now, but I will work on a Soft7 1.5 during the next week, with a better taskbar, better window borders, a new wallpaper (less shiny ^^) and maybe more...

for now...

It's important to mention that you need to execute the uxpatcher in admin mode, thats the only way i got it to work.

Great theme!

Hey again. Could you please try 1400x900. The gradiant covers about 96 percent of my taskbar but not all of it. Thanks

still a lot of things to do but never mind I like it ^^

Fzang [2009-10-02 19:23:15 +0000 UTC]

Hey mate, awesome theme. Can you confirm/deny that this works on 64 bit? If I set my icons to "small" on superbar it works fine, but if I set them to big the bar looks messed up (the gradient only covers half the bar)

Is this something you can fix?
