Ohh, this is quite cool! Or hot, I should say... heheh... I'll be here all week, folks.
Anyway, since you requested critique. The angle it's at is a little weird; we see Banjo and Kazooie as if we were level with them, but the way you've drawn the lava pit it's as if we were looking down into it; so when you combine those things, it makes it look as if the pool is tilted forward or something and doesn't really make sense with how close the grass they're standing on is (in fact it makes little sense for grass to be there, perhaps a rocky outcropping instead). That, and I think an ominous and darker background could make this piece more powerful.
