IT IS DONE.

I took quite some time for this painting, but I was determined to make it as perfect as my limited skill would allow. And I was determined to surpass my skill, once again. After all, this is how one improves: pushing yourself to your limits, until you find out that these limits are only temporary.

I would never have expected to draw four-legged creatures, especially not ones with fur and fluff and things like masks or tongues. All this was NEW to me. Entirely. I have never drawn fur before, so it's not as hyper-realistic as I wanted it to be, but it is GOOD. Yes. It is very good in my opinion.

This painting feels like it's a part of my soul. Or rather: as if I put my soul in it. I created it from scratch. I developed it from a stick figure to a skeleton, from a skeleton to musle and sinews, from these to a lineart. And from a lineart into a painting. With experimental lighting, because I have never drawn moonlight before. I wanted to try new things and colour themes, I wanted to be bold. And I had fun. Ignoring the pain in my wrist at times, I had a lot of fun. During the many, many hours this took me, it was mostly fun, but also annoying or even meditative at times.

This is Alexandros in his first demon form, right after his change. And he is definitely the blood on my soul.

Listen to it. It's intense and immensely inspiring. It's dark and divine at the same time. The perfect music to paint and to experiment.
