I have to say first that the composition of this photo is a little overused. However, with the black and white it makes the picture seem more original. I like the idea of black and white for the photo but it needs a little tweaking. Learning from my two years in b & w film photography classes it is very important to have good contrast. This means to have a range of true whites, greys, and true blacks. This provides for more depth and realism in the phot. This can I be achieved by closing the f-stop to maybe a 2.2 or so if possible. This will allow less light to enter the lens and thus creating a greater range of colors.
