great work! though I feel like i'm missing something...what are the hourglasses on 'death' for?

In Terry Pratchett's representation of Death, the hourglasses are the life-times of all living things. When your hourglass runs out, you die. Death is very punctual, and makes sure to be there when that time comes, or else you may end up walking around as a zombie XD

I assume the same sort of thing applies here too?

yeah, I suppose that makes sense. Perhaps a "father time" sort of thing. What would the "opposite" be for her though (to satisfy the duality)? She's life...yet lief isn't eternal...

I like where your going with that though...and i'm just fine without the zombies thank you.

Hmm, well I guess perhaps Birth could be seen as the opposite to Death?
Birth being the beginning of life, and Death being the end.

What could represent such a thing in an equal manner? I'm not sure... Maybe she could make the hourglasses, and give them to Death?

oh good thinking! maybe the sand is made from the stones on her belt...or maybe some of those "stones" are actually eggs...a relatively strong symbol of the beginning of life yeah?

Hmm, interesting thought.

What if the sand were actually seeds? The eggs that are on her belt could be filled with these seeds, and she fills empty hourglasses by cracking open the eggs. The seeds that spill out could grow into forests.
I don't know, just a thought. Sorry for the late reply XD

oh gosh you're under no obligation to reply! i'm most certainly glad you did though. Thanks! I think thats a great idea and does a good job of explaining a way in which the duality is actually connected.
