I agree with you regarding Batman taking on Robin. It's like he saw in Dick what he saw in himself when he was that age, like if he can give that boy a somewhat happy childhood it might make his struggle worthwhile.
The way I figure it, Batman is being a father in the only way he knows how, even if that means he's putting a child's life in danger.
Batman seemed to take Robin to help the kid, but in the end I think Robin helped Batman more than anything.
I like that Batman seems to be protecting Robin in this picture, it's not really something you see much in the stories, Batman actually being nice and fatherly.
Also like that you combined Dick's costume with Tim's.

yeah.. that's one thing i always liked about batman.. how can a guy like that, who fight the crime, can deliberately put a child in danger doing so. this is the great contradiction of this character. this is so totaly unbatman to do so, and yet, he need that child. Robin is the one thing i think that alow Batman to stay on the right path. without a robin, he could very well cross the line. that what this story would be all about if i ever got the oportunity to do it someday.
