I like the sky here, it looks like an old copperplate engraving. The whole thing has something from an old book illustration.

Well done!

Hey dimitri!

My nick is an anagram of 'Moby'. As a litle child I watched the b/w movie starring Gregory Peck as captain Ahab. I was impressed by the sound of his wooden leg on the deck of the ship. God i loved that movie, and most of all 'Moby'!

I love your 'moby'impression too

ciao

Love the water texture you used... and the pen & ink drawn -ish textures in the background.... Gives an "first edition " Old Novel artwork kinda feel to it ...

i think i'd have like to seen a little more 3D-ness to the ship ...and i think if the picture was a little wider horizontally ( on the right side )...you could have carried the water to greater effect...( giving a little more " immense " feel to the ocean ...

I dont say those as criticisms ...hey ..i'm an artist ...and sometimes i have to put my 2 cents in... EHh... more than likely, they are the ramblings of a mad man ... i hope i do not offend ...

Not an easy picture to pull off ...but you did with a nice dark "olden-time " flare to it !! .. ...

No worries man! Offense not taken!
I still can tell you're one of the Good Guys!

Believe me, I agree with what you wrote.
Several mistakes in the creation and accomplishment process turned this piece in something not much than... pretty.
Lacking the imposing stature such character deserves.
Being aware of this, I gave birth to 'Doom'.
How do they say? ...ART, a never ending search for the ultimate perfection and beauty.

Thanks very much, Jim!

It took me a time to realize the pun you made.
oh my, I'm damn slow slow slow

If I had thought about that, instead of 'Doom', I would have titled this piece 'Morbid Dick'!

Thanks a lot, man!

Arr matey!!! I faced worse than a white whale in my youth! I faced vikings and dolphin warriors and even falling star swords!

A whale ain't much, because it's the only down-to-earth thing I'll face at sea.

Another excellent piece. Moby Dick is probably one of the best conceptual writtings of madness and suspence ever written. This picture is an excellent depiction of the great story. I love the fainted image of the whale underneath the boat, and the way you made the stars and the sky.
Keep up the good work.

Espero acertar a mΓ£o desta vez.
Obrigado pelo comentΓ‘rio.
