I've been showing your splash to all my friends off Surrenderat20. How did you get such definition and clarity? Do you use a lot of clipping masks or is it just very clean painting?
This is my favorite splash so far alongside Bloodmoon Elise. The execution is flawless and it's very moody.

Oh for refinement and polishing, clipping masks definitely help! but its honestly a mixture of both... careful painting and PS tools.
Glad you like Bloodmoon Elise as well! I havent put that up yet but that was another fun piece i got the chance to work on.

Would you consider creating a Gumroad tutorial sometime?
There are many design, color, and photobashing tutorials but it's hard to find resources for game illustration.
Your knowledge of clean textures and sexy edges is invaluable and I'm sure plenty of people would purchase such a class.
