I am loving all the English voices for Fairy Tail so far but thought it might be fun to think of some alternative voice headcanons! Fairies are very important in Celtic mythology and the name Fiore sounds like a Celtic name so I was thinking that Natsu Dragneel would have an Irish accent from a rural western region of Ireland specifically to reflect his upbringing in the woods, Lucy Heartfilia would also have an Irish accent that’s more what is found in well off parts do Dublin since I think she comes from money? Or at least just a well off urban setting. I think a Scottish accent would suit Erza Scarlet’s personality and demeanor well. For Gray Fullbuster I know he comes from a cold tundra in a kingdom east of Fiore, and his teacher Ur has a daughter with a vaugely Slavic looking last name so I imagine him with a Russian accent.
