Hellaw!!I made this painting for an event here in Argentina called " Dibujados", the idea was to submit a monster, sadly there was a limited number of drawings that could get to the exposition and mine was pass over
Anyway I don't care, I had fun drawing and painting this one, I love to draw monsters and it helped me to practice more with Painter IX....

Esta fue mi entrada para el evento Dibujados, que hubo acá en Argentina hace unos meses, tristemente el cupo era limitado y mi dibujo no quedo...
Pero no importa, esto me sirvió para practicar un poco mas con el Painter IX, ademas me gusta dibujar y diseñar monstruos así que todo bien, sera para la próxima

How big is this fellow, when compared to a human being?

When I design this creature I didn't want it to be bigger than a human, considering that he moves in underwater caverns I'll say it has to be small, maybe the size of a dog, like an English Sheepdog....

I'm sorry to tell you this, but is only for giant-sized monsters, like Godzilla and his movie monster bretheren.
But, I've submitted this otherwise awesome illustration and character design to our sister group which is open to such characters of sizes.

Oh my heavens he is ADORABLE.
I've got a thing for cave-dwelling water creatures... I don't like water, myself, but for some reason, people can get so creative with their designs for aquatic beasts. I especially love this one! It's interesting how you've made the teeth look like stone, and you've made so many folds and wrinkles in the skin and yet it looks like a young creature. He's got an impish look about him.
I would keep one as a pet. Fantastic drawing!

I like water creatues myself I consider them terrifying( mostly for the fact that we're not designed to move underwater and they do) but I like them...I didn't think about the diferent age stages of this creature, but I think this one is an adolescent/young adult creature...
It could make a fine pet, if you could keep him well fedXDDD

What I find adorable, most others deem horrific and terrifying. XD And vice versa... I'm disgusted by human babies, but for some reason people like them so much... >_O I'd much rather hold an octopus or something. XD
What does he eat? Humans?

I don't think one of these can eat a human they are small as a dog, but a bunch of 'em probably could XDDD
I think they mostly eat small fish and well anything small that get close to their water caverns, like cats, dogs, rats, everything meatyXDDD

Yeah think of the water as a mirror but a slight transparent one

Look at this one for how the light reflection of the water bounces up on the roof. And a lightsource(headlight) is needed for that :]

Justo encontré un modo de pintarlas mezclando los colores y me re cope, igual fue tedioso...pero divertidoXP
