The blame for the wars and the destruction of the republic lies entirely with the Jedi themselves.

It is true that Palpatine used Jar Jar Binks to take control of the republic.
But all the others characters were also controlled, used and manipulated by Palpatine.
I don't think it's fair to put all the blame on Jar Jar Binks.
Anakin already wanted to go to the dark side since from the episode II.
And if Jar Jar Binks hadn't gotten into politics then Palpatine would just use another idiot either.
I'm not a fan of Jar Jar Binks.
But let's be realistic, this revolt does not make sense.
