UGH WHAT IS THIS CRAP!!Ellis, one of my favorite characters ever, and I can't draw the guy.
FAIL.

I know he looks to young and what not... Believe me, I heard it all damn day at school today, but I really tried hard and I spent a lot of time on this and it IS a practice doodle (that I really wanted to color... wtf).
I don't get why I'm having so many issues with this guy, seriously.
I'm loathing when I have to teach myself to draw Nick. If I can't get Ellis right, how the hell is THAT going to turn out?!

Anyway, enough of my bitching.
All and all, I am pretty happy with this picture... Sure, it needs excessive work, but not bad for my third picture of him. (Yes this isn't my first believe you me it's not.)
Think my favorite part of him is his eyes... Took me a very long time to even get those close that that. I think the hardest part, when I really get down to it later on, will be his shirt =/ Very busy logo.
I hope you all like it regardless of how butchered he is.
There will surely be more practice doodles of him...

Coloring = 2 hours 20 minutes (was experimenting a lot with colors)
Edit -.... Omg... I forgot the cut on his nose and the scrape on his forehead. FAIL!!! UGH!!!!!!!!! Will edit later again when it's fixed.
Edit2 -I realize now I didn't leave any like, color pallets anywhere for myself;;;;; I don't know if I'll be able to color him the same consistantly

I love his distinguishable nose and eyes, and his hair/side burns turned out great. <3
I feel like the chest area or, like, the upper-arm area might be too small/thin-- but the line art itself is well done.

Hmmm... Interesting. The last picture I drew of Ellis (the one I originally wanted to scan), my friend said was disproportionate and it had a bigger chest area and shoulders =/ Hmm... Very interesting indeed.

I realized that during the typing of the post. Just didn't want to erase it. Too lazy.
And I can't have more confidence because I keep comparing myself to other artists. Quite a problem actually =/ I'll figure it out eventually, and I didn't really teach you to draw. I just pushed you in a different direction and aided you along the way mostly.

I like it. ^_^ Especially how true you were to the patch on his hat and the bullshifters logo (honestly, I tend to leave them out altogether all the time, chalk it up to laziness or just not thinking they're that important to the whole).
Tell me though, in your other two drawings of him, what expression does he have? I promise you that El will look more like El with a big doofy grin on his face, or even just a lop-sided smirk. As for any other suggestions, make the bottom portion of his face a little bigger, he has a fair amount of 'jaw' on him, lol, probably helps with all that yammering.
And Nick is a bitch to draw for anyone.
