Description Did some pose practice this week with an old tabletop character of mine. I'd love to include him in some of the history of crime-fighters for Evil Plan (he's done his share of kicking villain ass), but that can wait. For now, his accomplishments will have to go unsung. ^_^

Is this one of those old guys from the April Fool's comic?Β  Or am I just making the wrong connections?

You are correct! Having previous generations of supers helps me flesh out the history of the world better.

Haha, he always struck me as an awesome dude.

I like him quite a bit. I cycle through favorite OCs depending on who I need to write that week, but he's pretty much always in the #2 spot. Sometimes characters just distinguish themselves, y'know?Β He'll make the cameo circuit in my other comics for a while, but with any luck I'll get to do a full comic about him someday. ^_^

I would read it!

Well, then I'll probably get to write it someday. So long as I've got one reader, I'll feel better about indulging in personal projects. :3

Amazing poses, really, they are so natural! Great.

Thank you! I worked from refs for most of them, though I did change up the poses somewhat.

Your anatomy is getting so much better Like the one stabbed through the middle? The way you've got everything turned, it looks natural in its unnatural stabbyness.

But I am still angry

Your rage is noted. But I think depression might be the better choice.

also summoning in a preschool? D: okay yeah he totally has the moral high ground there.

AlexisRoyce In reply to shadowednavi [2013-01-17 16:54:55 +0000 UTC]

He has the moral high ground all the time. He's fighting for justice and love. But seriously, the preschool was an underhanded choice. The guy was going to do it in the middle of all those children, right when their caring, selfless parents were arriving to pick them up. Super not cool.

He reminds me of Commisioner Gordon :3 I mean, he must be pretty hardy if he can take a pole through the chest and walk away, even if it's just to take painkillers
I hope we meet him in Evil Plan and learn more about those spies in the kudzu

I really love the picture in the upper right corner, he just looks so relaxed and at ease.

AlexisRoyce In reply to ElyssaJM [2013-01-17 15:48:51 +0000 UTC]

D'awww, I can see what you mean! And yeah, the rest of his party tended to use him as a bit of a meat shield. It helps when you've got a healer on hand, though.

Sadly, I won't be able to put him in Evil Plan, since everything up there takes place in the 1950's. But he'll get his time someday, once Evil Plan and Sire are better under control. ^_^

Thank you! I will admit that one relies very heavily on a reference image (thus the anachronistic clothing), since these are practice drawings.

He was surprisingly more human than his compatriots. But you know how things go; nobody ends up completely mortal.

Not yet. During morphE, I had about fifteen people ask if they could join my next one, so I've messaged all of them and they're making characters.

Nice! Are they all people that you talk with and know around where you live or is this all done through the miracle of technology called the internet?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AlexisRoyce In reply to LightningBlitz-Kid [2013-01-17 20:51:18 +0000 UTC]

They're all people I know, but some of them live a while away. Chicago, Tuscon, one is even in Japan.

Oh cool! Just was curious because I just got the Dresden Files RPG and was considering running a game over google hangout so I was wondering how other people found it worked. What's worked for you regarding the people who are far away? Sorry if I'm bugging you with all of these questions!

No worries, I'm more than happy to assist! I tend to use skype, but you now need to have an upgraded account to use group calls. Infrno also has a tabletop thing for group video chatting, and that's free. It's not as good as Skype, but it's worth testing out to see if it works for you and your players.

I'd love to give him his own comic, someday, but he'll have to get in line. Suffice to say that Kinesis is lucky that this guy was working back in the fifties. Though I don't think either would've gotten in each others' way; he spends his time fighting cultists summoning abominations, and Kinesis would be rather all right with that service continuing.

shylarah In reply to AlexisRoyce [2016-04-19 20:00:39 +0000 UTC]

I'm pretty sure Kinny would have a problem if the summoned abominations started wreaking havoc in his part of town, though.

Without a doubt. Kinesis would be severely outclassed. XD
