Wow, some of these people are harsh. I think the picture looks great. The big open space on the left give the picture a great sense of space & atmosphere. There's nothing wrong with a nice tight crop, but if you had cropped it in tighter, you wouldn't have gotten that great sense of openness. To address the comments left about your model, I think she's perfect for this shot. This isn't a Maxim mag photo shoot people. This is industrial. She has a perfect haircut for an industrial look, & I think her skinniness adds to the alien-like quality of it. The powder effect is cool & lit very nice. The only thing in the pic that bothers me is that it's slightly off-level with the beams. I'd say either rotate it a little one way (cw) to make them even, or rotate it a lot the other way (ccw) to make it totally crooked & more disorienting! Good work, don't stop.

Beautiful concept and shot. My only nits are that the light on the right is a bit distracting and tend to lead the eyes away from the main subject. A little different lighting would still have given you the dramatic look that you were going for. The photo appears to be tilted slightly causing the metal uprights look like they are leaning. It wouldn't take much to straighten, crop, and kill the lightbeams. I really think that would take this image to the next level.
I do like the subtle way you signed the image, too many make their signatures entirely too obvious.
Otherwise very beautiful work, I always look forward to your new stuff.

Definitely appears that this photograph was the inspiration for Terry Richardson's Wrecking Ball music vid for Miley Cyrus.

To those who say the model looks discusting because she is skinny, did you take the lighting and shadows into consideration? They do create an illusion of her being skinnier. I looked at her other photos, and yes she is thin but not sickly so. But anyway, this photo is amazing! The way the motion is captured, and the eerie setting, creates a twisted yet beautiful story.

This is amazing. I am no art critic, I merely respond to things that make me think and/or feel. I see a story in this, which is how I connect with art. I love it.

I've also not been a commenter much but I wanted to leave my props here to the artist.

I think this is a brilliant shot, though you can put me in the camp that finds the light on the right a tad distracting. It's hardly ruinous, but that's my take. The powder effect and overall image quality is stunning.

Hmm, I think it's fine. The light on the right does not distract me; I think it adds to the feeling of motion to the whole image: the viewer's eye is drawn towads it, even though some part of it wants to stay on the model and the space. Interesting.

Though I haven't visited your wonderful gallery in a long while I still believe that your art is as inspirational as any other's in your gallery. Really, all of the comment about the model you used, I'm glad to see that you've just given them casual disregard because your model choice worked perfectly with the atmosphere of your image. And the lighting effects you used work gorgeously together so I don't understand why everyone thinks that flash is too distracting and drags their eyes because really my eyes were instantly on the model. The way her body and it's arch stands out against the dark background is fabulous. So please continue doing what you love and enjoy, these nudes are quite lovely because really, you make them into ARTISTIC nudes, unlike those people that just take pictures of things like that for attention from the wrong crowd of 'artists'. This is wonderful and it works well together, each of it's elements flow to create a lovely punk image with a beautiful, not underweight or anorexic, model that can pull off the punk feel you needed.

I'm pretty curious to hear what it was on her head that made that misty trail come up. Love the concept, and the lighting, don't think that spotlight is distracting, I think the picture would be a tad too dark or flat with out a bit here and there. wonderful concept photos you always have

those who bash on thin models are just as bad as people who make fun of overweight ones
that isnt to say that under eating is good, or that our society isn't pressuring the models in ways they shouldn't, but cant we just except her beauty regardless instead of focusing so heavily on the social implications?

they can
but everyones body type is different
if you preach tolerance at the expense of those u consider unnatural you might be unintentionally discriminating on a group of people who are, in fact, just naturally skinnier than most of the world.
