This is my favorite. You're Marine Recon Marksmen. I love the way he could use his technology to spot enemy contact for the other surrounding soldiers who may not know if they are even there. NO Criticism from me in this picture LOL I know I have said some other things in other pictures.Β
I like the way he can move freely and about when in the battle field by his armor. Something cool you should add is a low profile vest and such to some other art you may do. Like a light PC.

How did you paint the Multicam? Is it a Photobash? An overlaid texture pattern? Or did you paint out the whole Multicam?Β

I overlaid the pattern from different photos in a couple places, and sort of loosely painted in bits in other sections as needed. If you look closely you'll see areas that don't have the pattern, like around his left arm and parts where the wrinkles were more important to show. Leaving the pattern out of those parts allows the viewer to see the shape better (from wrinkles) and also the overall color you want them to see. The mind fills in the pattern.
If I were to make the pattern as dense and high contrast as it actually is in all places, it would be too 'busy' looking and some of the shapes and form would be lost. Hope that helps! Β

Just throwing my five cents in; any Special Operations group (MRE included) is able to choice what they wear. Even marines will tell you crye pattern works better than most other camo.

Why Mulitcam for the uniform.. Being a Marine.. You know it would MarPat Color base. Marsac as of late been using Gen 3 Pattern Woodland.? Just wondering, STILL A great piece.

Just a preference, and I haven't seen much in other patterns that make it more effective than multicam. I know that a lot of units who have the option of what to use are using it, so it seemed a somewhat logical choice if the Marines were switching patterns. I'm sure it would depend largely on where Marines were active though.
