"...I don't have any lips."

God, I spent at least four days on this picture. It was quite the journey. It's a 9x11 inch image on paper that I edited to have a background and border on PS.

PLEASE COMMENT! I took a really long time on this, I want to know it was worth it!

I imagine the scene would have gone something like this;

Garrus paced back and forth in the battery, awaiting the results from his newest calibrations. Success meant victory for the Normandy against roughly 85% of whatever the universe could throw at them. Failure meant endless hours more spent doing math instead of sleeping. Needless to say, he was nervous. He didn't even notice when the huge door slid open and his beloved, Tali, entered the room.

He jumped when he felt a hand caress the side of his face, and his icy blue eyes came to rest on a familiar sheet of curved lavender glass, with silver eyes blinking just behind it.

"Saera." She spoke, trying to comfort him with her tone, seeing as her expression was useless. "You need to relax. You will not get your results any quicker if you wear a hole through the floor with your pacing."

Turning his head to the side with a sigh, Garrus lifted his hand to place it over hers. "I can't help it. I'm restless." he muttered. "If I get this right, our problems are solved. If I don't... more calibrations."

He was so lost in his thoughts - doing and redoing and redoing the math in his head - that he didn't hear the subtle "click" of her mask coming undone. He didn't notice her take her hood down. He didn't notice a thing until she turned his head with her hand on his chin. His eyes grew wide in the split second that he could see her face - in the main battery, no less - before he felt something soft and warm press to the front of his mouth. A kiss, obviously, though he had no means to return it.

He still had the same gaping expression on his face when she pulled back, giving him a gentle smile. "Relax." she said again. "You'll get them when you get them."

Coming back to his senses with a shake of his head, a panicked expression crossed his face. "Ahh, put your mask back on! It's not sanitary down here. You could... I don't know, inhale an unfamiliar dust mite and die!"

Realizing her actions were riling him up even more than his anticipation of his calibrations, she replaced her mask with a soft laugh.
