Description Just posting some stuff from work, since I don't have time for much else.

When they asked me to do something about the 20th anniversary of Jurassic Park and 3D re-release, I was like "Oh, hell yeah!" Last year they asked me to do something for Star Wars , and well, Star Wars does nothing for me. Jurassic Park though? One of my favorite movies ever. I even kind of like The Lost World, there is a decent movie in there buried under a lot of mind-boggling choices like killing raptors with gymnastics, or having the T-Rex captain that cargo ship to San Diego.

For the interior pages I went with the most memorable scene, the T-Rex breaking out of his paddock. Just like I did with the Star Wars illustration, where I made the girl be an amalgamation between Luke and Leia, here she is a cross between Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler, while the boy is Ian Malcolm. I could've made them into Alex and Tim, but it's funnier to have kids taking the place of adults. If I may say so, that T-Rex turned out fine. I wish I had made the SUV's proportions even more cartoony to better fit the characters.

P.S. My favorite moment of Jurassic Park was the T-Rex fighting off the raptors. When the T-rex shoves that second raptor into the dinosaur bones, and that banner comes down... my 12 year-old self cried, it was so beauuuutiful. It still is. In comparison, when JPIII came out, I almost felt like booing at the fight with the spinosaurus, what a let down. Must say I hope JP4 is at least better than the 3rd.

Yes it does, like a sidescroller. Well, except not pixel-art.

Aw, yeah, this is awesome!Β  I could totally see this style being used in a video game too!

Thank you!Β

I guess the composition is very, very side scroller-ish. It's always a time saver to do stuff that way, and with my job anything that works towards getting things done faster is a good thing. Even if, this one took me a long time to complete, mostly because I enjoyed doing this particular piece, so I tinkered with ridiculous details no one else is ever going to notice but me.

I like how this looks a bit like a video game screen shot.

Thank you. It was not intentional, but I can see it now that you mention it.
