Description Pig-snouted tenrec is a medium-sized predatory tenrec with the lenght up to 80 cm. It habits the undergrowt of rainforest on the east side of Madagascar. It's body is covered by wiry, bristle-like hair with the touch of short quills. The end of muzzle is like a pig snout. The sight of the animal is very weak, but the sense of smell and hearing are very good developed. It feeds on small vertebrates, insects, also it could eat the carrion and falling fruits.
