Description
Steppe heron is a direct descendent of grey heron, living in the steppes of Three Rivers in East Europe. This bird is able to long gliding and fast running. The birds hold often by the herds of large herbivorous animals, which scare small animals. Steppe heron use for the nesting large trees, building the nest with branshes and twigs or occupying the nest of eagleravens. In the north of natural habitat the herons are birds of passage, but in the south they are settled.
