Even assuming she's using tranquilizer darts instead of crossbow bolts, the Alorian nobility is into some slightly disturbing stuff. Although I imagine their pets and secret masters, the kitties, are working* to slowly reform and mitigate their worst instincts. Kitties are very public-spirited
*How do the kitties subtly influence humans? By purring, of course. Haven't you ever noticed how hypnotic that is?

I am sure the kitten enjoy these royal hunts, it gives them some alone time in the palace to climb on things, and nap.
Additional note, they just use bolo whips on these hunts, to bind up the bunnies legs, leaving them the struggle helplessly.
