So it's been months, but I finally got around to completing these sketches I did at FWA alongside my Federico ones!And another experiment to test my hand. Coloring digitally is still more irritating than doing it traditionally, but it was much better today. Still doesn't feel quite right, as my hand has some tension in it still. But least I was able to do more than before without actual legit pain! I was only able to fill in her pink coat the other day before quitting.
I'm going to do one more test on some doodles I did the other day before fully going back to my regular stuff. Soon these sketch dumps will end, no worries!
Anyway, just some Kailani's in various goofy expressions. These aren't nearly as nice as the Federico ones as I remember doing them very quickly. That's why they didn't scan in quite as nice either.
Thanks to some bros for helping me choose which of these to color, also! Cause I struggled to pick.

Surprisingly no! I only took some pain relievers today for the first time, but it was for a different reason. Funny, I should try that more. It might help!

The irony comes with Motrin (Ibuprofen)...ย Believe it or not, one of the side effects is headache!ย I got the 800mg horse-pill size.ย On the plus side I can walk, on the downside, I have a migraine!

Oh dear! I use Beyer aspirin. Forgot what they are but I take 2 if I'm hurting really badly. I have chronic neck and back pain so I always have it around. Though usually I don't need pills (I try to avoid it. I have a bad relationship with pain medication since addiction to it runs in my family) instead I use heating pads to help my pain. But if it doesn't help... Beyer always does the trick!

I wouldn't worry too much about getting addicted to off the shelf stuff, like tylenol, motrin, or advil.ย The stuff you gotta watch out for is the prescription only Vicodin, or Oxycontin.ย I've been prescribed both at one time or another, and I can see how one can be addicted to their side effects.
I did get prescription strength Motrin (Ibuprofen) and the side effect was headache.ย So unless you enjoy getting a headache...
Bayer is good old fashioned aspirin =^^=ย The only caveat with that one is that it can hammer your stomach lining with ulcers, and it thins your blood.ย (Good if you have a heart condition or blood flow problems, bad if you bleed a lot)

I thought the antennas wereย stationary, like they would bend if you touched them but as soon as you would let go they would bounce back to the original form. Can the individuals decide how their antennas bend or is it more aย subconscious stuff?

Nope, they are totally movable! They're fairly stationary in terms that they don't wildly move about. They move much less than, say, their ears (well, not Kailani's ears cause hers are also horns so they don't move at all, but I mean for Ambivians). They pretty much stay in the same "default position" but the person can move them into different positions manually. Often Ambivians will wrap their antennae behind their ears to keep them out of the way. If they do that then the antenna will stay there and won't bounce back to their upright pose. They're sort of like poseable dolls I guess? You can move them into different positions and they'll stay in place until you move them again. BUT! They also move subconsciously to match their emotions. So it's a bit of both, but more-so the former.ย

Something else to note: starting Chapter 2 I began really focusing on the antenna's default position varying per character as a design element. Kailani's have a specific strong S shape where-as Jacky's are more of a graceful backwards swoop, Jenelle's are always curled around her ears, Finnie's always fall backward, Bluebell (the driver) always has curled up ones on her head from her hat, etc. So each Ambivian's "default position" and shape differ per individual.

Well I have notice that they are different on differentย individual but havent really notice when the move around, its been little discreet.
But know then I know of the changes I saw how the antennas moved between some of the panels, when I lookedย through some pages.
