Okenite usually gets damaged since it's so soft.

There's not really much you can do about it unless you mount it in a plastic box.

Hence why when you buy okenite, you should buy it as a geode - where the balls are still encased in a pocket in the rock.

That way you can handle them by holding the rock without damaging the delicate okenite crystals.
