I do so love the way you portray the scenery and the art style is colorful and interesting to look at. Looking at this makes me feel so colorful on the inside and it makes me wonder what it would be like to live like the two boys that are painted into the foreground of this piece.
I suppose you wouldn't really call this a critique as more of a personal opinion though. But in the long run, is that not what a critique is in the end? Someone's own opinion on the artwork and how it might speak to them as either a person or something else entirely. To some this piece may not say anything. But to others it may say something more about they or the artist feels.
As long as a picture can make you think about it. It is considered art according to my teacher. But to me, as long as the person who made the picture, the artist, photographer, sculptor and what have you likes the thing that they have created and enjoys it to the fullest, it is considered art to me.
I did not give this perfect stars because with artwork and learning to expand one's horizons can go, there is always room for more improvement.
I'm sorry if this critique isn't very helpful in the long run, in which case you can take it more as a monologue of one person's personal opinion on this matter. Thank you for your time and I hope to be able to see more of your work.

This is awesome. People who don't do color may not know, but the use, matching, balance, and placement of color can be some of the most aggravating parts of a piece. Not only did you pic great colors and placement, you balanced them and chose the right shade of saturation for it all.
There are tiny little things such as occasional perspective, but you have so much going on and it is almost salvador dali in its surreal nature so that doesn't even matter. The outfits are nice, creative and well done. I don't know if you used color pencil, but I used to use them a lot before I start with CG coloring and I love the look.
Only real thing I could mention is that the mouth on the character to the left probably could have been tweaked a tiny bit for realism sake, but--when you throw such an awesome and original piece around, there are gonna be small things.
You are definitely worth watching, I enjoyed this.

Glad I could help, wow all in photoshop--looks very color pencil authentic. I do all my work 100% in Photoshop too, but now I have started doing outlining in illustrator and even some coloring, its very smooth.

OMG once again you baffle me with your insane amount of detail! Its so pretty and the background is so involved, it reminds me of a candy wonderland. I wspecially like how you colored the cherry and your cotton candy. ^.^ Haha, and Slide doesn't seem to mind that its inedible. XP
I don't know what you mean about not making good outfits. I think they're amazing! A lot better than my default 'put them in jeans and a t-shirt' thing. I put all my characters in the same clothes. v.v; Yours is a lot more colorful and very unique! ^.^
Ahm... By the looks of the chocolate oozing down from the top and the candy in the way background, I get the feeling all of it is falling to the groud. If that was your intention then you did a great job at it. >A< The twisty rainbow seems a bit out of place, and yet it doesn't, I don't know. XP
