Description Et Morckoor se demanda pourquoi ces dunes Γ©taient aussi moches.

And Morckoor in a rare moment of reverie wondered why those dunes were so ugly ^^

Wow. The details in the wrinkles and what not is outstanding. And that tree. I love that tree.

the tree is in fact the wall of an odd wood tower

oooo... I would have thought the creeping roots made it a tree. ^.^; sorry. I still like it! Its still amazing!

It's not really a tree, it's a tower . The texture is tricky

Wow, love the shading on his clothes and the hair! The head blends into the tree a bit, though.

Looking at this one and reading the comment, I think it may actually be a hardware problem. Your sanner looks as though it didn't pick up lighter shades. And then the colours will all look washed out in "my" technique (no idea why; it usually works just fine with the normal colour technique!) My scanner picks up the faintest fluff of dust (which can be annyoing) but I'm quite happy with it.

yes, that's exactly that. My stubborn scanner doesn't want to pick up light greys like the sky and dunes. It's the same with my Olja as a kid picture, it's way too white. Those dunes look really lame.. I had added a little yellow colored layer , but still it looks white

Bah, that poor scanner is seven years old , and starts to behave a bit oddly ..-_-

I should give your technic a try on a very dark watercolor.May be painting a drow for once ^^

I actually prefer doing drow in pencil (even when i work in watercolour for the rest of the pic), at least when I'm working small. There are so many things that can go orribly wrong when you do a dark-skinned face in watercolour that's only an inch long! ^^

Very true, dark faces are hard to paint, mixing pencil works and watercolor is quite worth a try! Mmh, I am scared to draw anything drowish anway , people could start to ask me to draw...eek.. you know who ^^

Anyway it's enjoyable to be between books, I can take a bit of time experiment with illustrations! It's relaxing and brings a bit of change !

The J-word?

I've actually taken up *that* particular question in my FAQ now! Not that anybody ever reads it

Not to forget the Z-word.

Ouch.. Z word..ack and worse , not drowish but the dreadful AE-word

In fact, I know, I should let my drow remain nameless and not even darken their face so that no one know who they are
