Description
A little Mucha-style fanart (Alphonse Mucha is one of my favourite artists) of Jenny Calendar from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. This is another one I put up on Tumblr ages ago, but I liked how it turned out so I'm posting it here too.

She’s holding the Orb of Thesulah in one hand (a physical representation of the curse that led to her death) and a couple of Tarot cards in the other (a reference to her skill at using mystical means to reveal the future). The card on top is the Three of Swords, representing grief, betrayal and separation (referring to her broken relationship with Giles and the others). The red roses of course are a nod to Angel’s elaborate set-up of her body after he murdered her, and the skull should speak for itself.

No-one loves Jenny Calendar like I love Jenny Calendar. I am forever bitter about her death.
