Thank you! I have to admit I've never read the books - I heard of the TV show first and I made the deliberate choice not to read the books because I know there's a fair few differences...and inevitably when adaptations change a lot of stuff I can only pick one side and stick with it, I find it too weird to hold different versions of the same story in my head at once! So regardless of the books obviously coming first (and I'm sure being very good) I've chosen to only watch the show, at least for now
And yes, it is great. It's exactly the right amount of over-the-top absurdity I adore.
