Description My interpretation of a character from a book I read, Daughters of Rome by Kate Quinn. Marcella Cornelia.

The book follows 4 girls. Cornelia and Marcella who are sisters, Marcella being the youngest, and Lolia and Diana, Marcella and Cornelia's cousins.

Marcella doesn't exactly live in the shadow of her sister and cousins but she goes widely unnoticed to the eyes of others. Her cousin Diana being considered the most beautiful despite her vulgar behaviour, then Lolia, then Cornelia.
Marcella isn't considered to be as pretty as her sister and cousins, which is why I gave her an apathetic look on her face. Almost sullen.

She is the smartest of them all and has a gift for persuasion. Lolia's grandfather made busts of all the girls with the face of a different Goddess that matches their personality. However, Marcella was given the face of Medusa. I already pictured Marcella having long curly and wavey hair, but to interpret Medusa and her gift for coercion, I made her hair a little crazy-looking.

It has been while since I logged onto this website. I always enjoyed your work and I never will stop. You know that just as much as you, I am a fan of drawings of women. This has to be by far the most detailed and realistic I've seen of your work. Really enjoy this one here.
