Description
A quick sketch of Ierath and Klaus Crescent's parents around the time of Ierath's birth (it's been such a while since I did a sketch like this). I ended up sketching this after doing some practice sketches of a younger Ierath (so far, proving difficult) and Klaus (easier since I've only sketched him as a child) and I ended up doing some practice sketches of what their parents might look like. When it came to sketching them (as I don't usually sketch parents . . . at least, not too often), I wanted to give them a sweet couple look, but I didn't want to sketch them where one child looked identical to one parent and vice-versa. I wanted it to be clear that Ierath, for example, shares similar physical traits with her mother, but she also shares many physical (and personality) traits with her father.
The idea behind this sketch would be that there is a birth of multiple subjects. There's the physical birth of Ierath (being the oldest), as well as the birth of parenthood which both share, and the birth of many problems to come. The two are joyful over the birth of their daughter, seeing her as someone quite special (Klaus is special too, but for this sketch, he wasn't there heh). While there are flaws, I feel that I managed to sketch what I intended so hopefully the flaws aren't too distracting.
