I finally saw the new superman movie! And I assume you know and like the superman universe. what did you think of it?

Psh course I love Superman XD But uh, here we go- you asked for it~
You know, I liked it but I feel like I had all of theses other expectations that the movie didn't quite reach. Part of it is that I love the Smallville Clark Kent/Superman so I wasn't looking forward to a different version. I felt like there was almost too much action and not enough plot and I'm not sure how I feel about the insanely fast relationship with Lois- who called him Clark multiple times while being Superman in front of others >.>
Plus, why is the fortress a ship?? And how did he know he'd find it where it was?
Yeah, only a few thoughts goin on there lol. Plot holes DX

And there was too much action, me and my friend kept making fun of that. to director: "should we introduce a plot?" Director: "What? what for? MORE ACTION!"
Is the fortress not supposed to be a ship? I need to watch it again, I didn't see any of the plot holes. I was just on the edge of my seat, drooling on myself, the entire time.

Haha I was the same way, took me a day or so to actually decide what I thought about the movie and if I liked it better than Ironman and Star Trek. Star Trek won though X)
The difference in how Clark Kent is in Smallville VS movie? Eh, I guess you could say he shows the struggles more in Smallvile as growing up as a teen with superpowers. Deciding what's right and wrong and dealing with his mistakes. You watch him grow rather than being the oh-so-perfect-Superman he's portrayed to be.
What I did appreciate in the movie though was how his Earth father dies, more honorable and heartbreaking TT_TT Also, the last scene with Zod is bittersweet for me- Superman doesn't kill but I guess he's a 'newbie' and had no other option (even though he has super strength, could've moved, fly or covered Zod's eyes >.>)
And no, the fortress is like an ice-castle. That doesn't move! Lol I feel like I'm just hating on the movie, yet I liked it XD

Nope your right, star trek wins. Star trek one was pretty good, two blew my mind. It was tighter, it knew where it was going and what it was doing. Ironman 3 was fun but Tony Stark randomly became a blithering idiot. I don't want to shred ironman 3 into pieces because it was an awesome movie, but you could. you really could.
See, I think that would have been awesome. you get to the point where you're like, "so....nothing can kill any of these people. alright, I guess I'll just watch things blow up for awhile" Seeing more of his struggles and challenges would have balanced the story more.

I didn't see the ending!!!! I saw it in drive in last night and my battery died during the final fight with zod. (don't laugh at me) So I'm going to have to request a spoiler reveal, what happens to Zod. Me and my friend were making bets, I think he escapes to fight another day, my friend thinks he died.

I've become a pretty big Star Trek fan, not gonna lie. I finished the originals and now I'm on season 3 of Next Gen. So many episodes TT_TT
And I think it was pretty obvious that you don't wanna get hit by Superman XD

So, Zod was gonna laserbeam 3 civilians and Superman had to stop him and struggled so... he snapped his neck, freaked out and then Lois conveniently came in there and helped Superman get over it...
Then, the army accepts him to a degree and starts working at the Daily Planet where Lois says 'Welcome to Earth' yada yada. Bout it really.

See, I tried! I couldn't do the original movies! But I did like next gen when I was a kid. And I saw an interview with all the captains, that was badass.
Yes, it's pretty obvious but did you know it would be THAT badass? I mean, it's like a supernova going off every time superman punches!
oh shit! he did kill zod??? DAMN!!!! Well I'm sad now. He was an awesome villain. I'm a little worried about a movie with lex luther, I know I haven't watched any other superman movie but it just seems like a movie where superman spends the whole time dodging and avoiding crypton, and that's the only action, will be kinda boring.

It took me a bit to watch The Originals but the second movie- watchhhhhhhh.
If you don't want to watch a movie with Lex- don't watch Superman Returns. All about Kryptonite.
Smallville is similar but doesn't really abuse the idea horribly. More realistic I guess. They at least include a few cross overs ♥

I re-watched Smallville last summer and it was good, just not as good as I remembered from when I was younger XD It's a bit slow first 3-ish seasons.

Yes!!! I know what you mean. This happens all the time, all the classics don't hold up. Everything I thought was cool when I was younger, isn't so cool now. My new rules is, if its older than 10 years, its off limits.
