Some veeery rough speedpainting practice, took about two hours in PS. First,.... HOW ON EARTH DID YOU FIND THIS?!! Second, Middle-earth too?! How awesome can you get?! Third, Well done. I like this a lot. It certainly has a feel of an older form of art... perhaps among the 'Impressionists' or something. I am not an artist, but a writer myself. I am going on memory alone with that remark.
I did look up the still and you did capture it well, in my opinion. I can even imagine this being placed in some gallery in Gondor many years after Legolas and Gimli leave Middle-earth, the last of the Fellowship to do so. So yes, this looks like elven art for sure. It even looks all 'wispy' like that painting of the defeat of Sarumon that IS featured in the film. As I wrote, I enjoy this very much.
