Description
The mare glowed. There was no other word for it - she glowed, looking around her as if she'd been suddenly transported into a new world - and of course, she was. It was dark, which wasn't surprising; she was used to the dark. But the dirt beneath her feet was dry and still, unlike the strange shifting and jostling motion of the (rather terrifying) trip. There were so many sounds, so many smells, and nothing felt like it should.

But she thought she might like it...
