I feel weird submitting this when it didn't take me a grand time to do, but I thought that it was valid at the same time.

A little while back, I got into a conversation with someone about how open I am about my sexuality. I'm pansexual. I don't hide it. I'm pretty sure that people that spend a great deal of time with me will notice the way I am painfully in love with the entire male cast of Supernatural, Olivia Wilde, Mariska Hargitay, Richard Belzer, Robert Palmer, Ru Paul (as himself and in drag), Alex O'Loughlin, Katherine Moennig (I know, who doesn't?), etc.

I'm also sure that just like every other human being, my life doesn't always revolve around who I'm attracted to. Which is why when I asked a friend to answer my phone for me because my hands were full, they were a little shocked to see a picture of a woman in stockings, legs crossed and a banner that reads "Taste Girls".

So I was met with "I didn't know you were... uh..."

It's simple, I'm not trying to be b!tch or anything, but does it really matter? I mean why should anyone care?

Unless you have a crush on me, or I have a crush on you, or you are going to meet/know my significant other I don't feel the need to introduce myself as "Hi, my name is Alika and I'm pansexual." I wasn't hiding it, please don't feel like I came out to everyone except you, but at this point I just assume everyone knows, and if you don't know, don't sweat it. Chances are that who I take to bed won't have much of an effect on your life.
