I fell after I took one of these photos, right down into the water when my foot slipped on the wet moss (which made it really, really slick!) Luckily, instinct caused me to save the camera, so no harm done. I'll probably upload a shot of me after the dunking in to scraps at a later time!Related content

Hmmm....now that I think about it...it's a pretty broadbeam shot showing the full extent of not only me but also me in VERY wet clothes...may not really be appropriate....
I'm sure I can come up with a variety of other excuses. I just need a little more time to think...
However, I'm uploading today a picture of me at Clingman's Dome, the highest point in Tennessee. Will that do? Not as comical, of course, but infinitely more flattering. And at my age, I need all the flattering I can get!

am glad you are okay (and the camera as well) 
you know, you can use a natural density filter ( just a drak piece of glass) with increased shutter speed, to make the water more silky .

Yes, but I'm not sure I always want it to look like liquid powder. I know this is a popular effect, but sometimes prefer it to look less smoky and a little more real. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Oh, I would be, too! I'm thinking of buying a macro extension, which is much cheaper than another macro lens. I have to buy a superwide lens before I get anything else!

Those wide lenses are awesome .... i got a macro extension for my Old OM lenses .. it works just fine really .

You're welcome and just a quick one about what happened to me last week in the pursuit of photography.. was walking along downtown.. heading toward a 5 story garage. I wanted to get a better vantage point of the USS Wisconsin. .. I was looking up to see how high I could go and didn't notice the step up curb.. Fell on the sidewalk and I mean hard.. over on my side . scrapped up my arm and have bruised up my side pretty bad.. i just laid there stunned and embarrassed as people were asking me was I okay... As it turns out thanks goodness nothing broken.. We do get outselves in some pretty precarious positions at times.. lol.. I'm going to start wearing a helment or something ;D

Oh, yes, I certainly understand and am really glad that you're okay. I've fallen over a bench before. That's the problem when we have farseeing eyes! I'd be willing to bet you're still feeling the effects of that fall. Hope you're better soon!

It's amazing how slick moss can get on the rocks when wet. o_o;;

Yes, and I should know that, since I grew up around mountain streams. Oh, well, it just takes one second of being out of balance, and you're down. No harm done, though, because I don't melt and I just had to go back and change my clothes. I felt the photo was worth it. Thanks so much for your comment!
