Description Finally! I made something new! And it is not fan art!

Zodiac inspired piece. The main piece is a bull's head. On its forehead there is the planet Venus. Hanging from its nose there are 3 semiprecious bead stones (that are suggested as good for Taurus natives): yellow agate, aquamarine, pink quartz. I also used the characteristic metal for Taurus, copper. Blue, yellow and green appear to be lucky colors for this sign. ^_^

Materials used: polymer clay, acrylic paint, glass cabochon, matte and glossy varnish, copper (rings, chains and toggle lock), the 3 beads.

I made the sketch for this because someone told me we are partners in a swap and she is a Taurus and I wanted to make it for her, but it seems it was not me who was her partner but another girl with the same name as me so I said - whatever, I'll make it anyway! YAY!

That is so ridiculously awesome.  I love the way the chains are linked together; they really complement the taurus design.  It would be super cool to see a whole series of these.

Thank you! I was actually a bit worried about the chains, if they might be too much. I plan to make a series. Among other myriad stuff.

This is a really beautiful work! Your verdigris effect is perfect! I'm curious about the other now. Which sign are you going to make next?

Ha! I had no idea I made an effect that has a name. Sometimes I am ashamed by how little I know about art in general, considering that I call myself an artist. XD I too wonder what the next will be.. maybe Gemini. ^_^ Thank you !

Have you ever seen pieces of jewelry with this effect? Because if you have never seen it or took references to make your necklace, it's even more impressive because you made it perfectly!

Actually I know that this effect exists for only a short time! I discovered this word and effect while looking at jewelry which have an "aged" effect (I really like that kind of jewelry). I'm not an expert about it  but I know that in order to make this texture, they usually cover the piece of jewelry with patina (you have a lot of different patina, each with a particular effect: "rusted", one to make silver, brass or bronze look "antiqued" etc) and then they sealed it with a special lacquer.
The result can be very stunning!

I don't know much myself, so I take every opportunity to learn more about processes and crafts. I usually discover them by chance.

Ah, can't wait to see it! ^^

You're welcome
